ANNOUNCES SUBSIDIARY, NORTHEASTERN PLASTICS, INC.,

SELECTED AS VENDOR FOR TARGET STORES

Houston / Kemah, Texas – August 30, 2007 American International Industries, Inc. (NasdaqCM: AMIN) Mr. Daniel Dror, Chairman and CEO, today announced that Northeastern Plastics, Inc. (NPI), a wholly owned subsidiary of AMIN, has been selected as a vendor for a line of products to begin selling in all 1600 Target stores in March 2008. NPI estimates a substantial increase in revenues due to sales of an assortment of LED night lights, LED replacement night light bulbs, and LED tap lights. These products are part of the NPI Good Choice branded product line, have been tested at the Good Housekeeping Institute and prominently carry the Good Housekeeping "Seal".

Marc Fields, President of NPI, stated "Target is one of the nation’s largest big box retailers and adding them to our customer list brings a great deal of credibility to both the NPI name and our Good Choice program."

NPI is a supplier of automotive after-market products and consumer durable goods products to retailers and wholesalers in the automotive after-market and in the consumer durable electrical products markets.
